Learning about Money and Making a Difference at Moola Mania

By December 6, 2018 No Comments

What do you get when you bring kids from three schools together to complete jobs throughout the Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac for a chance to earn Museum Moola? A group of caring kids learning about giving back to the community and gaining financial skills at the same time.

Kids from Faith Lutheran School, Chegwin Elementary and Shepherd of the Hills Catholic School raised $1,185 in Museum Moola and decided to save $255, spend $583 and donate $347 of it to Toys for Tots and the Fond du Lac Humane Society. Verve matched the amount they donated and sent $90 to Toys for Tots and $257 to the Fond du Lac Humane Society.

We know that when we invest time and money into our communities, we make them a better place to live, work and worship. That’s why we were proud to teach kids about money—especially the importance of saving—and give back to local organizations.
