Unleash your inner child and let your curiosity roam freely from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 19 at the family-friendly Curiosity Fair at the Manitowoc County Historical Society (924 Pinecrest Road, Manitowoc). Kids and adults of all ages are invited to explore the world around them through a variety of learning stations filled with activities, presentations and hands-on demonstrations.

Stop by the Verve station to build a piggy bank.

We’ll bring the supplies, you bring the creativity to our free Build your Own Piggy Bank Workshop. Kids will learn about healthy spending and saving while using an assortment of fun (and unique) supplies. Kids choose a container—milk jugs, coffee cans, mason jars, etc.—and then head to the decorating station with construction paper, crayons, markers, glue, stickers, googly eyes, ribbon, and glitter (lots and lots of glitter).

We’re helping kids get started with saving by giving them a quarter to add to their piggy bank AND we’ll match the first $5 deposited in a kids’ savings account.

It’s Verve’s goal—in line with our guiding seven Cooperative Principles—to provide education, training and information to help create a flourishing financial future for our community. What better way to teach kids about spending, saving and sharing than a “glue-sticks-and-glitter, piggy-bank-decorating” good time!
