Verve’s teaming up with the Missoula Children’s Theatre to put on a musical workshop for kids.

Kids from kindergarten to second grade can experience the stage at The Marvelous Mini-Musical, a FREE theater workshop happening from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, at Verve’s 2900 Universal Street branch in Oshkosh. The renowned Missoula Children’s Theatre will present this workshop, which will culminate in a pint-sized performance. Parents, bring your cameras because you’ll be amazed to see this talented troupe transform your kids into performers as they learn what it takes to prepare a musical number. To sign up, click here.

While in town, the Missoula Children’s Theatre will also be putting on a production of Aladdin at The Grand Opera House in Oshkosh. This magical, community-based experience will feature 60 local children. Auditions are open to students in grades K-12 and will take place at The Grand Opera House on Monday, March 28, at 4 p.m. After a week of rehearsals, there will be two performances at 3 and 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 2. Supporting arts in the community steals the show.

Verve is proud to sponsor Aladdin and host the Missoula Children’s Theatre for The Marvelous Mini-Musical—events like these help the community come together like close castmates to appreciate the arts. With community being one of the 7 Cooperative Principles—which are like the stage directions for running a credit union—we see supporting community theater for youth as one standing ovation-worthy cause.
