Verve is proud to support for the Oshkosh Youth Soccer Club.

About 100 youth soccer teams took to the fields at Winnebago County Park in Oshkosh, July 10-11 for two days of tournament fun. The Oshkosh Youth Soccer Club (OYSC)—which focuses on learning and enjoying the game rather than winning or losing—hosts Soccer Saturday each summer for young footballers, ages 4-19. Verve was proud to present a donation to the club for the second year in a row and had a blast getting to know the teams and their families between games!

We brought our decked-out cuBe truck to the event and played movies inside so kids could take a breather—we showed The Lego Movie and Penguins of Madagascar. The cuBe was packed at times and we had tons of fun. We also gave out temporary tattoos and set up our beanbag and washer toss games for families to pass the time.

At Verve, we love supporting community-focused organizations like OYSC. After all, concern for community is one of the 7 Cooperative Principles, which are like the playbook for running a credit union. Thanks to OYSC’s positive mission, the clear victor at Soccer Saturday was sportsmanship, making this weekend a win for fairness and respect in our community.
