Flix in the Stix heads to Brillion!

By May 28, 2015 No Comments

Smile and Verve, boys, smile and Verve.

Verve, a Credit Union, and the Brillion Boy Scouts bring you “Flix in the Stix,” a free, outdoor showing of… wait for it… Penguins of Madagascar! Join us on Friday, June 26, at Peters Park in Brillion. The reels will get going around dusk. We’ll bring the speakers and giant inflatable screen—you just bring the lawn chairs, blankets and little ones.

Our hard-to-miss big screen will be set up in Peters Park off of Tesch Street and the Scouts will be there selling concessions with 100 percent of the proceeds supporting their organization. Special thanks go to the Brillion Athletic Association for sharing their concessions stand! The way we see it, you can drop 50 bucks at the theater, or you can get outdoors and see this action-packed, rolling-in-the-grass-laughing blockbuster with us FOR FREE! Be sure to dress warm, as it gets cooler during the evening.

At Verve, we love free events like these because they demonstrate our “Concern for Community,” one of the 7 Cooperative principles, which are like, well, the penguin spy manual for running a credit union. Hanging out with our neighbors not only builds community, but it also helps local organizations raise funds and accomplish their own special missions. Hope to see you at the FREE Verve Outdoor Cinema!
