The CitizensFirst business team saddled up on January 29 to lasso a few prospects at the Oshkosh Business Expo. With the theme of “Roundin’ Up New Business,” the event proved to be a lively opportunity for networking and some good ol’ fashioned fun.
Complete with a hay bale, saddle and rustic fence—not to mention our team members dressed in classic cowboy gear—the CitizensFirst display drew quite the crowd.
The display also featured a “cactus-toss” game, offering participants the chance to win two Country USA tickets and a $100 gift certificate to Ski’s Meat Market in Oshkosh. Our team had fun while gettin’ to know our community members and spreadin’ the word about CitizensFirst.
To appeal to area businesses, the crew posted a sign with the top five reasons to bring their business accounts to CitizensFirst. As a member-owned cooperative of “people helping people,” CitizensFirst can offer local loan decisions for businesses in our community along with products tailored to their needs. In fact, the CitizensFirst ranch loaned over $130 million to businesses last year alone—up from 2013 by $15 million. And, CitizensFirst is one of few financials that still allows businesses to earn interest on their deposits. Our exceptional business lending capabilities, paired with reliable, hometown service and a range of online conveniences, set us apart from other financials.
In the end, however, our team of passionate, fun-loving employees earned CitizensFirst a blue ribbon at this rodeo and every day for their honest, hard-working efforts to help our local businesses thrive.
